Gregg Willie | VP, Operations
1. What is your role at Bioriginal, and how long have you been there?
My role involves responsibility for all aspects of our manufacturing operations, everything from supply chain, logistics, and grain supply to operations in both the manufacturing and packaging plants. I joined Bioriginal in 2014 and moved into my current role in January 2016.
2. How has your previous experience helped you at Bioriginal?
I have spent my career in the food processing and nutraceutical industries primarily in technology development and manufacturing. My years running a contract processing facility has allowed me to develop expertise in a wide range of technologies and given me the ability to quickly analyze production issues and opportunities.
3. What professional moment or achievement are you most proud of?
Some of the best memories are of eureka moments when a solution to a process development issue reveals itself. The team approach to troubleshooting and brainstorming that allows that to take place form the foundation of some of my best professional achievements.
4. What is your favorite part of Bioriginal?
I think the rapid pace that all staff seems to be able to run at would be a favorite part of working at Bioriginal. The demands of our customers change quickly and the willingness shown by all staff in coming together to find a solution to satisfy customers’ needs is a big part of the Bioriginal experience.
5. Do you personally take any nutritional supplements? If so, which nutritional supplements do you take?
I have never been a big supplement person; I prefer to eat as diverse of a diet as I can. That said I do take vitamin D and have started on a daily omega 3-6-9 since joining Bioriginal.
6. What is one thing that people might not know about you?
I’m a synchro dad! Our daughters have both been heavily involved in competitive synchronized swimming. It is a sport I knew nothing about until they became involved and it has now become a big part of my life.
