Demand Planner

Reporting to the General Manager, the Demand Planner is responsible for working with multiple stake holders with the goal of ensuring orders are going out at the highest fill rate possible, while ensuring customer needs are being met.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supports a culture that is consistent with Bioriginal’s beliefs and values
  • Follows established department GMP’s, SOP’s and batch record instructions
  • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests
  • Manages Business Partner master data
  • Validates customer purchase orders
  • Enters and maintains customer orders/changes according to department policies and procedures.
  • Works with customers, customer co-managers, brokers, distributors and outside sales personnel regarding order processing and sampling inquiries.
  • Follows up on orders to ensure timely delivery by specified dates
  • Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Allocates inventory per customer specifications
  • Confirms each shipment has the correct shipping documentation
  • Creates and distributes customer invoices
  • Performs invoice collection and settlement processes
  • Organizes and responds to Customer complaints and returns
  • Leads weekly demand planning meeting
  • Administers the supply chain metrics for Demand
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary atmosphere, with a high regard for food safety and environmental impacts
  • Attends various mandatory safety and departmental meetings
  • Communicates in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved
  • Assists other personnel as needed and will perform other duties essential to the department as requested


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, related post-secondary training is an asset
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing, farming or agriculture environment is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Strong customer service focus is required
