Material Handler

Our Packaging Department is currently searching for a Material Handler to join our team in Saskatoon, SK.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the packaging line receives all required raw materials, components and packaging materials in a timely manner to meet production timelines and targets.
  • Ensures all finished product and returned materials from production are put away into assigned locations.
  • Looks after ensuring all waste is removed from the plant.
  • Ensures all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensures that all changes to inventory is kept up-to-date within the organization’s ERP system.
  • Operates forklifts and other powered mobile lifting equipment to load, unload and transport materials.
  • Adheres to all forklift training to ensure all safety rules, procedures and practices are followed.
  • Provides hands-on support to the packaging lines during downtime.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous warehousing and/or forklift experience is required.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors as required.
  • Strong teamwork, customer service and collaboration skills required.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a forklift license.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Must possess strong organization skills, including organizing paperwork.
  • Must be able to work independently.
